Tail removal

Stock tail (Gary Foremans TLR from www.tl1000.com)

Mine after hacking 4" off the bottom and relocating the signals

My signals now (tailight also split for signals)

Before and after hacking the remainder off

I cut all the plastic off and then mounted the light further up and back into the bike than before.

I replaced the undertail with expanded metal to still have a trunk.......although not as large i still can get a camera, shirt, hat and my phone all in the trunk still

Taillight is supported by a piece of aluminum about 1"x3" 1/32 thick that bolts to the hole in the vert back of the frame left by the rear fender support. I drilled the aluminum with two holes about 2" from one another and hung the light from that. The bottom is supported by 2 90 degree twisted aluminum bars that I bolted to the undertail tabs
